There are several reasons why people come to a yoga class.
- to move their body
- to stay in shape, to be flexible, strong or to become so
- to heal health problems (e. g. backache, insomnia etc.)
- to find a work-life-balance
- to reduce stress
- to improve concentration
- to have more energy
- to improve posture
- to try something new
- because the best friend, colleague, sister… said that it feels good
- because it is ‘hip’
etc. Those are all legitimate reasons.
However the deeper benefits of yoga manifest themselves when we see how yoga influences our day-to-day living, how it enhances our relationships and, how it promotes clarity and peace of mind.
